Meet the People - Part 6

Friday, July 24, 2015

Following my 30 year career in Banking I joined the Wyre Forest Citizens Advice Bureau as a volunteer. My first role as a specialist adviser was working for clients with mental health problems who struggled to deal with finances. Later I became as a dedicated money advice and debt caseworker before moving into the roles of palliative care caseworker and homelessness prevention officer.

I am privileged to work with our partners within the Wyre forest, supporting the bereaved and those with life limiting illnesses at Kemp hospice and the residents of Wyre Forest with the customer services team at Kidderminster Hub.

As part of the family support team at the hospice I am able to offer advice and support on a multitude of issues that many clients encounter when they are faced with bereavement and illness. Similarly in my role as homelessness prevention officer, I advise and support Wyre Forest residents who are dealing with events that threaten their security of tenure.
